Smoking lounge ceiling mural. That’s about right.
It would certainly encourage me to finish my cigarette faster.

I am like: “stop!?” — of course not really, but it feels overwhelming.
Yeah, I kind of wish people would just take a break from reproducing or something. The stats are not surprising but definitely scary.
And guess who’s moderating (again)?
What a joke.
Top: Teenage Mutant Nincoln from this Refacing Gov’t Tender set.
Bottom: A bill I found on the street last week. An inspirational excerpt from the back:
“The billion-dollar question: Will you go to Heaven? Here’s a quick test. Have you ever told a lie, stolen anything, or used God’s name invain? Jesus said, ‘Whoever looks at a women to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.’ Have you looked with lust? If you have done these things, God sees you as a lying, thieving, blasphemous adulterer-at-heart and awaits with glee the day you burn in hell…”
I couldn’t make that shit up.
I don’t care what you say, the Onion is still funny every now and again. (via kottke)
A Romantic Gesture Nonetheless
- (Old Friend) Ryan: I have a surprise for you.
- Me: Oh, really...Should I be excited?
- Ryan: I don't know...go look outside.
- Ryan: Wait, you still live on S_______ right?
- (Pause)
- Me: No...
- Ryan: Hahaha.
- Ryan: Well I guess there's a surprise for someone else.
- It's been a while since anyone wrote a message in the sand for me. It's nice.
Interview with Madonna about her Africa movie
New York Magazine: In the movie, you look at one ritual in which a young woman is told she must have sex with a man three times in a day, in order to “cleanse” her.
Madonna: It’s not my place to judge that tradition.
Since Madonna has chosen to abstain from judgment, allow me the pleasure. It is wrong to rape someone, no matter how long it’s been part of your cultural tradition. Even if it’s to sever the wife’s spirit-link with the dead man’s ghost.
Madonna, as one of the most influential artists in the world, your failure to apply your faculty of judgment to tribal rape is deplorable. For your comments, you are a piece of trash.
Here’s the full interview.
I couldn’t agree more. As seems to happen often, we have over-corrected by swinging from one extreme - racial and cultural insensitivity - to another - so-called political correctness. Sometimes it is our “place to judge”. And call me crazy, but I think condemning tribal rape is easily one of those times.
